Primary Responsibilities
- Interpret and accurately follow blueprints, architectural designs, and detailed plans to ensure precise construction of custom homes.
- Serve as the primary client liaison to discuss project requirements, updates, and modifications, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Manage all phases of construction projects including scheduling, resource allocation, and coordinating subcontractors to maintain timelines and budgets.
- Oversee quality control by conducting regular site inspections to verify compliance with design specifications, safety protocols, and Ontario Health and Safety Act (OHSA) standards.
- Ensure all permits and necessary documentation are secured and remain up-to-date throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with Workvella’s project management team to implement construction best practices and promote innovative building techniques.
Qualifications
- Required:
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in custom home builders jobs or equivalent construction roles within Canada.
- Proficient in blueprint reading and construction project management.
- Strong knowledge of permit compliance and construction codes applicable in Canadian provinces.
- Excellent client communication skills with ability to manage expectations and provide clear project updates.
- Experience using project scheduling software and basic carpentry tools.
- Understanding of OHSA safety standards and commitment to maintaining safe work environments.
- Preferred:
- Post-secondary education or certification in construction management, carpentry, or related fields.
- Experience working on high-end custom home projects with complex design elements.
- Familiarity with sustainable building practices and energy-efficient home construction.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills in construction challenges.
- Knowledge of provincial and municipal building codes beyond the minimum requirements.
