Key Responsibilities of the Seafood Processing Supervisor

  • Supervise daily seafood processing operations to meet production targets while ensuring compliance with established quality assurance (QA/QC) protocols.
  • Lead and train production teams, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement under the Seafood Processing Supervisor role.
  • Oversee compliance with food safety regulations including HACCP and CFIA standards, maintaining thorough documentation and auditing processes.
  • Manage inventory and coordinate with supply chain personnel to ensure materials and packaging meet production demands without interruption.
  • Communicate effectively across departments to support operational goals, resolve issues promptly, and maintain positive working relationships.

Qualifications for the Seafood Processing Supervisor

  • Demonstrated expertise in seafood processing with hands-on supervisory or leadership experience in a production environment.
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance principles, food safety compliance (HACCP, CFIA), and regulatory standards relevant to seafood processing.
  • Excellent team leadership skills with proven ability to train, motivate, and manage staff to achieve operational excellence.
  • Competency in inventory management and operational planning to sustain streamlined production workflows.
  • Outstanding communication skills in English; bilingual (English/French) candidates are preferred and will be advantageous.
