Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in researching and synthesizing scientific literature, clinical trial data, and regulatory documents to support medical writing projects.
  • Draft, review, and edit a range of medical documents, including white papers, patient education materials, summaries, and scientific reports.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams such as medical reviewers, editors, and project managers to ensure accuracy and clarity of content.
  • Maintain compliance with industry standards and WorkVella’s quality guidelines while developing your skills in regulatory and medical communications.
  • Participate actively in training sessions and feedback discussions aimed at improving your expertise as a trainee medical writer.

Qualifications

  • Strong writing ability: Clear, concise English writing skills that demonstrate sound grammar, style, and attention to detail.
  • Attention to detail: Ability to critically review scientific content and ensure precision in terminology and data presentation.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and tools: Basic understanding of medical concepts and experience using MS Office and reference management software (e.g., EndNote, Zotero) are highly advantageous.
  • A degree in life sciences, health sciences, communications, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Some exposure to medical writing, research work, or healthcare-related environments is an asset.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a remote or hybrid setting.
  • As a trainee medical writer, a proven eagerness to learn and grow professionally in medical communications is essential.
